KERN EVO: 3 and 5 Axis Machining Centre

The EVO ultra-precision vertical machining centre from KERN Microtechnik is an excellent choice for part production in small to medium batch sizes. This machine works to an incredibly high standard of precision, with a positional accuracy of only ±0.5 micron and guarantees superb surface finishes, along with high productivity, acceleration and feed rates.

This machine boasts an extremely sturdy polymer concrete mono-block base which absorbs the vibrations associated with acceleration, improving stability and performance while producing high-quality parts. Its spindle speeds can reach up to 50,000 rpm and can be equipped with tool magazines having 32, 63 or 95 tool positions.

The KERN EVO machining centre can be equipped with a host of accessories, including a digital CNC precision 2 axis dividing head, laser tool measurement, infra-red workpiece touch probe, and various other optional extras to enhance its performance even further.

While popular in prototype and small batch manufacturing facilities the KERN EVO is also extensively used for the high volume manufacturing by the addition of external workpiece changing magazines using mainly System3R and EROWA systems.
