Ball nose radius tolerance of ±.003 µm and shank tolerances of +0/-.004 µm are a major benefit to customers seeking higher surface finishes and better form tolerances. Ideal for use in heat shrink tool holders having a reduced shank length. Two ranges are available HSB-S and the long neck version HSLB-S.

EndMills for Composite Materials

New materials mean innovation and we are able to offer a number of innovative products in our portfolio. While composite materials have been around for a number of years it is interesting to note that the smallest endmills were 3.0 mm diameter. We are now able (again) to lead the market in the UK with a variety of endmill geometries and cutting tool materials (PCD and diamond coated carbide) starting at an impressive 0.5 mm diameter. For soft ferrous and non-ferrous materials we can offer standard length and extended length uncoated endmills – very popular in universities, jewellery, watchmaking and micro-fluidics industry sectors.

For hard steel 40Hrc upwards our market leading Union Tool HardMax range of coated endmills give excellent value for money, long tool life, high volume of metal removal or high surface finishes depending on the tool geometry being used for either roughing or finishing. Similarly the ranges offer short stubby endmills for maximum rigidity or extended reach for machining deep pockets.
